I have the TomTom ONE XL and love it! I cannot tell you how many times it has saved me! I also love that I can tell exactly how many miles/minutes I am away from where I am going - this is great especially on long trips!

I don't have one yet real life use case #1: Every time I go to book club or mom's group and Someone New's house, I invariably overshoot one turn and then get all off of my printed map and call Alec at home to be my ground control.

Another time I wish I had one use case #2: Going from my brother's wedding to the reception, we had to make a detour to the babysitter in the hotel and, consequently, the whole party moved on without us. Because my family is polite, they had all set their cell phones to stun (so the fact that I knew everyone on one half of the church proved totally useless). I had to call Whitney in Berkeley from Durham, NC and have her guide me in. Once my step-brother Andrew called me back, I had a whole three-way conference call thing happening to help us find the groovy banquet hall. Only *after* all that did Whitney mention that we coulda borrowed it for our trip.

Whit, are you reading? I need one too! We are not the same person. Mom? Alec? Anyone?!
